The easiest way to get to Iceland is by plane. The most convenient is a direct flight from either Prague or Berlin, Germany.

Icelandic airline Play is a new player in the field of cheap flights. In the season from April to October it also offers direct flights from Prague and year-round from Berlin.
The best way to get around Iceland is undoubtedly by car. That's why we recommend renting a car from one of the recommended rental companies. For the aforementioned rental companies, it is no problem to pick up the car at night or early in the morning. For both of them we recommend the highest insurance option.

Since it is not uncommon to fly to Iceland on later flights, arriving at Keflavík Airport near the capital Reykjavík before midnight, we have a tip for dealing with such an arrival at the beginning of this itinerary. If you're arriving early in the morning or mid-morning, go straight to busy day 1.
When you arrive in Keflavik, which is less than an hour’s drive from Reykjavik, it’s a good idea to pick up a rental car immediately. If you want to head as close to the airport as possible immediately after picking up, there are several options – we recommend Konvin Hotel.
