1. Data Controller

2. Scope

This policy applies to the retkee.com website and to the Retkee mobile application (iOS and Android). Differences are noted where relevant.

3. What data we process and why

• Account and profile (web and app): email, name, password (encrypted), and your saved lists of places. Purpose: providing and maintaining your account and the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Purchases and subscriptions: on the web, payments are processed by Stripe; in the app, Retkee+ is purchased through the Apple App Store / Google Play and managed via RevenueCat (we process your account identifier and the status and history of your subscription). Card details are handled solely by Stripe / Apple / Google. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Location (app): with your permission, the app uses your location to show places near you; we do not store location on our servers. Legal basis: consent.
• Analytics and measurement: web — Google Analytics (GA4), Microsoft Clarity (statistics, heatmaps), and AnalyticsWP (analytics running on our own server, not shared with third parties); app — Google Analytics for Firebase. Without consent we collect only anonymous measurement; through App Tracking Transparency we ask for your consent to tracking, and we use the advertising identifier (IDFA) only with that consent. Legal basis: legitimate interest (anonymous measurement) / consent (tracking).
• Newsletter: email address if you subscribe. Legal basis: consent (revocable at any time).
• Technical data and cookies: IP address, device type, cookies (see Section 8).

4. Recipients and processors

Stripe (web payments), Apple (iOS purchases), Google / Firebase (Android purchases, in-app measurement, GA4), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Microsoft (Clarity), and hosting and IT providers. AnalyticsWP runs on our own server (data is not shared).

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Microsoft are based in the USA; transfers are made under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

6. Retention

We keep data for the duration of your account and thereafter as required by law (e.g. accounting). After account deletion we erase or anonymize the data.

7. Your rights (GDPR) and account deletion

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to withdraw consent; you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (ÚOOÚ). You can delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by email request. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription purchased through the App Store / Google Play — cancel it in that store’s subscription settings.

8. Cookies

The website uses necessary and analytics/marketing cookies; you manage your preferences in the cookie banner.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the updated version will be published here with its effective date.
