Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city, is a vibrant city located on the eastern edge of Jutland, surrounded by beautiful and historic countryside. Tivoli Friheden, which is an amusement park in the beautiful Marselisborg Forest, is a great place for fun but also nature experiences.
The Botanical Garden with Tropical Houses presents diverse plant collections in four different climatic zones. Aarhus University is architecturally interesting because of its harmony with the surroundings of University Park and Nobel Park. DOKK1 is a cultural and multimedia centre that welcomes citizens and guests to Aarhus.
Aarhus hosts several major festivals, including Smukfest, known as the Skanderborg Festival, which is considered the most beautiful festival in Denmark and is held annually in August. Information on current events can be found here.
The city has an excellent cycling infrastructure, making the bicycle an ideal mode of transport. And if you don’t have your own, you can easily rent one using the mobile app.
For swimming, visit the local harbour and coastline, where you can swim in the sea and then warm up in the sauna.

When visiting the city, it’s worth seeing the Aros Aarhus Kunstmuseum, one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe, which offers a rainbow rooftop observation deck with panoramic views of the entire city. Don’t miss a visit to Den Gamle By, an open-air museum located on the outskirts of the city, where you can wander through historic Danish buildings from different periods. Botanisk Have, a botanical garden with a tropical greenhouse, is ideal for nature lovers.
Many local restaurants and cafés offer a culinary experience with traditional Danish cuisine and international specialities. Aarhus also boasts a rich musical and cultural life with concerts, festivals and exhibitions throughout the year, the programme can be found here.
We also recommend a walk along the coast between the modern buildings. On the way, visit any café and try a cinnamon snail, you won’t go wrong!

Parkování pro obytné vozy je zdarma na 24 hodin. Tato část parkoviště je vyhrazena pouze pro obytné vozy, no hned vedle je také parkoviště pro osobní automobily. Parkování je možné pouze s parkovacím diskem, nebo se zřetelně napsaným časem příjezdu a vystavením na předním okně. Lokalita je skvělá, blízko moře v bezpečné oblasti s moderními novými budovami a množstvím restaurací a kaváren. Pár metrů od parkoviště je legendární Grill Havens Perle, který doporučujeme navštívit. Parkoviště se nachází vedle hlavní komunikace, provoz je ale v noci omezen a proto nebudete rušeni hlukem. Do centra města to máte 20 minut pěšky, nebo 7 minut po skvělých cyklostezkách na kole.
