Caldeirão do Inferno

Caldeiro do Inferno follows Caldeirao do Verde and is a more challenging hike, but if you are lucky with the weather, you will be rewarded with beautiful views. We weren’t so lucky as it was foggy, so if you’re not lucky with the weather, feel free to skip this part. There are several smaller waterfalls along the route, including Caldeirao Verde.

The route is recommended for experienced hikers who want a slightly more challenging route. In some places it is on narrow paths, where you need to avoid oncoming tourists, so you have to take into account that even though it is not a long route, it will take time. Definitely pack drinks and snacks.
