Castle Veltrusy

Veltrusy Castle is located near Prague and is a beautiful Baroque mansion surrounded by a large English park. For lovers of history and architecture, it offers tours of the interiors full of historical furniture and works of art that illustrate the life of the 18th century nobility. The castle is also known for its ceremonial spaces and beautiful gardens, where weddings, for example, are held.

If you visit Veltrusy Chateau, be sure to explore the Veltrusy Chateau Park, which is an ideal place for a beautiful walk in nature. The park is probably our favourite part of the chateau, not only because of its well-kept grounds, but also because of the woodpecker reserve and the many horse paddocks. Especially for families with children or cyclists this place is really ideal.

The only restriction is that you are not allowed to enter the gardens around the castle with a bicycle or, unfortunately, with a dog. Otherwise, the adjacent park is a great place for dogs.
