Place description

Gufufoss waterfall is the largest waterfall in the Seydisfjordur fjord in eastern Iceland and is about five minutes from the village of Seyðisfjörður. The waterfall is approximately 27 meters high, so it’s rather small compared to other waterfalls in Iceland, but it’s definitely worth a stop, as there are usually very few tourists.

We recommend stopping here briefly on your way from the Seydisfjordur fjord; the stop won’t take you more than 30 minutes.
