Place description

The Pantheon is one of the most fascinating places in Rome. This imposing structure, which has survived more than two millennia, still fascinates with its beauty and atmosphere. The majestic entrance flanked by massive ancient columns will amaze you at first sight, but the greatest magic awaits you inside. Under the dome with its central opening, the so-called ocule, the space is flooded with daylight, creating an almost mystical atmosphere.

Originally dedicated to all the Roman gods, the Pantheon later became a Christian church and today is the final resting place of the famous painter Raffaele. It is a fascinating combination of architecture, history and spiritual symbolism.

There is an admission fee, but I recommend booking your tickets online in advance. You’ll avoid queues and enjoy your visit without unnecessary waiting.
