Rubjerg Knude Fyr

Rubjerg Knude Fyr is a lighthouse located on the North Sea coast of Denmark. It was built in 1899 and was in operation until 1968, when it was closed due to the constant shifting of sand dunes. The high sand dunes surrounding the lighthouse gradually covered its entire height. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction, offering spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding countryside.

There is a dedicated multi-car car park at Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse and toilets are available. From the car park to the lighthouse is still a 20-minute walk. If the wind is strong, don’t forget a bandana over your nose because of the sand around. For the adventurous and those who want to extend their trip, we recommend the charming little car park 50 minutes from the lighthouse.
