St Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most famous and important buildings. This imposing Baroque structure towers over the city and is visible from many places. If you fancy a further climb, you can take a trip to the top of the cathedral and enjoy a panoramic view of London. The cathedral was built after the Great Fire of London in the 17th century and was designed by the famous architect Christopher Wren. Its dome is one of the largest in the world and is a significant architectural feat. Prominent British statesmen and military leaders are buried in the cathedral, including Admiral Nelson.
The cathedral is accessed directly from the famous Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that also appeared in the Harry Potter films. Plus, you have a great view of the cathedral through this path, so we definitely recommend taking this route to the other side.
We’ll be happy to create a personalized itinerary.
If you want to see inside the cathedral, we recommend checking the opening hours on the official website.
