The Tolmin Gorge, located in the heart of the Triglav National Park in Slovenia, is one of the country’s most stunning natural attractions. The gorge, formed by the Tolminka River, is characterised by its steep rock walls, turquoise blue water and rich vegetation. Visitors can walk along well-maintained trails and bridges that provide breathtaking views of this natural wonder and allow for safe exploration.
The main attraction of the Tolmin Gorge is the Bear’s Head, which is a huge rock block wedged between the walls of the gorge. Another interesting place is the thermal spring, located near the confluence of the Tolminka and Zadlaščica rivers. The spring has a temperature of around 20 °C and is known for its healing effects.
The surroundings of the Tolmin Gorge offer many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing and fishing. The gorge is also a starting point for more demanding hikes to the higher parts of the Triglav National Park. A visit to the Tolmin Gorge is an unforgettable experience that combines natural beauty, tranquillity and the possibility of active relaxation in one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia.
