Place description

This unique drawbridge is located near the famous Tower Fortress, from which it takes its name. It connects the historic city centre with the eastern part of London. Tower Bridge is one of the most famous symbols of the city and is often confused with London Bridge, which is located a little further down the river. The total length of the bridge is 244 metres. Its central section can be raised to allow the passage of tall ships on the River Thames.

The views of this bridge are beautiful from both banks of the River Thames. You can take a photo either right by the railings at the Tower of London or from Queens Walk, the promenade on the other side of the river.
