Place description

The Archaeopark in the village of Pavlov is an archaeological museum, most of which is located under the surface of the earth. The archaeopark is located on the site of extensive finds from the Early Paleolithic period. The museum was opened in 2016 and is backed by the Radko Květ Architectural Office. Only a few concrete skylights peek out onto the surface of Pálava, near the Nové mlýny water reservoir, and it is this “detail” that makes the Archaeopark a truly exceptional building.

Inside the museum there is an exhibition mostly from the time of the “mammoth hunters”, everything is very nicely described and explained. We highly recommend a visit to the Archaeopark in Pavlov and we promise that you will not regret it. From the surroundings of the Archeopark you can enjoy a very nice view not only of the mentioned water reservoir, but also of the nearby ruins of Děvičky Castle.

The Pavlov Archaeopark is closed during the winter months (December, January, February and March), in other months the following opening hours apply:

Admission

The basic entrance fee for adults is 150 CZK, while the reduced price for children, pensioners, students or disabled persons is exactly half of the price – 80 CZK. There is also a family admission for CZK 300. If you want to take a few photos inside the Archeopark, you will have to pay 50 CZK.
