Blue Holes

Blue Holes is a beach just outside the town of Kalbarri, where there are naturally formed small lagoons. The name of this part of the coast comes from the coastal limestone cliff system, which is a mixture of permanently submerged and permanently exposed parts. A myriad of fish, including more than 70 species, and coral swim in the calm waters and ocean floor, making it a popular snorkeling location.

If you’re not a fan of snorkelling, take a walk along the beach, preferably at sunset. The best time to visit is during low tide, when the natural pools are most visible and the water is calmest. And if you’re as lucky as we were, you may come across a few kangaroos at the end of the beach at Kalbarri.
