Bondhusvatnet is a picturesque glacial lake located in the Bondhusdalen valley in Kvinnherad, Hordaland, Norway. Surrounded by steep mountains and situated at the base of the Folgefonna glacier, Bondhusvatnet offers breathtaking views that demonstrate the natural beauty of Norway. The clear blue waters of the lake reflect the high mountains and glaciers above, making it a popular spot for photography. But you have to hit the right weather!
The Bondhusdalen valley itself is decorated with lush green meadows, wild flowers and traditional Norwegian wooden houses, giving visitors a sense of peace and a glimpse of local life.
To reach the lake from the car park, follow the marked trail towards Bondhusdalen. The trail is well maintained and leads through a forest area, suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. After a short walk, you will reach an open valley overlooking the lake. The total walking time from the car park to the lake should be approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

Parkování na oficiálním parkovišti u jezera a údolí Bondhusdalen. Parkoviště nabízí vše, co potřebujete pro pohodlné přenocování: toalety s teplou vodou a možností nabírání pitné vody. Parkoviště je rozděleno na dvě části: jedna pro osobní automobily a autobusy, druhá pro obytné vozy. Kempování na parkovišti je zakázáno, avšak k dispozici jsou piknikové lavice a stoly.
Z parkoviště je nádherný výhled na ledovec a okolní hory. V okolí můžete spatřit zvířata, je zde také kavárna a malebná vesnička. Parkoviště je placené a parkovací lístky jsou pravidelně kontrolovány.
