Place description

Castellet is a rather large fortress in the shape of a five-pointed star, one of the best preserved Renaissance fortifications in Europe. In the centre of the fortress are the original barracks and it includes a windmill. The fortress is open to the public and can be toured. There is a museum in Kastellet that tells the history of the fortress. Kastellet is free to walk through and is thus a popular place for walks or picnics.

We definitely recommend to take at least 1-2 hours to visit this place and explore the area as much as possible. There are not only beautiful views, architecture and nature.
