The Little Mermaid (Den lille havfrue) is a bronze sculpture by Edvard Eriksen and can be found on the Langelinie pier. It is based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. The statue is very small, measuring only 1.25 cm and weighing 175 kg.
This place is one of the most famous in Copenhagen, but it’s not really worth a visit. There are dozens of people at the statue during the day, and it’s nothing special that’s worth “standing in line” for.
