Place description
A paradise for cross-country skiers, that is the exact definition of this place. Here you will find 26 km of trails that wind through the forests and meadows of Saré/Armentarola near San Cassiano, which is 3 km away. The ideal way to get here is by car and park directly in the area.
The routes have three difficulty levels. Blue for beginners, red and black for advanced. They provide optimal conditions for alpine training combined with fabulous views. The dolomite bastions of Mount Conturines (3,064 m), Mount Lavarella (3,055 m) and Mount Setsas (2,571 m) are all around.
But the breathtaking scenery is not the only plus point of this running centre. There is a biathlon area, a running equipment rental, changing rooms with showers and toilets, a bar and a restaurant. If it’s your first time on cross-country skis, you can also arrange a lesson with a professional and try them out on the training area.
The Centro Fondo opens every day in winter from 8:30am and is open until dark.
