Cukrák

The Cukrák transmitter is located in the Central Bohemian Region, in the Prague-West district, in the cadastral area of Jíloviště. It stands on Kopanina Hill, which is part of the northern area of the Brdská vrchovina. The transmitter has a height of 195 metres and is in fully functional condition. Construction of the transmitter began in 1959 and was completed and put into operation on 26 November 1961.

However, a trip to Cukrák is not just about admiring the transmitter. This area is known for its beautiful nature, with plenty of trails for hikers or cyclists. Some of the paths are paved, so you can walk around even with a stroller. Nearby you will find the forests of the Hřebeny Nature Park. This area therefore provides a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to the nature that is close at hand. Mushroom pickers will also find an abundant harvest here.

Even a bus can take you to Cukrák, or you can park your car directly in the car park. More modest refreshments will provide you with hot tea or a bite to eat if you get hungry.
