Dean Village

Dean Village is a picturesque part of Edinburgh, situated on the banks of the River Leith. This historic area is famous for its stone houses, old bridges and surrounding countryside. It’s not just for tourists, it’s a great place for a walk in the countryside, during our visit we also met a lot of locals walking their dogs here. We recommend going to Dean Village in the morning or later in the afternoon, especially because of the amount of people and the light. During the golden hour, the place looks really beautiful.

Our tip: you’ll get a great photo if you walk down Hawthornbank Lane all the way down to the water.
