The Djupfjordbrua, also known as the Djupfjord Bridge, is an important construction work in the Lofoten region of Norway. It is located in the western part of the Lofoten Islands and connects two parts of the island of Moskenesøya. This bridge prides itself on connecting the northern and southern parts of the island, allowing easy transit between the two parts.
Djupfjordbrua is situated away from the main tourist traffic, but is still easily accessible for those who want to explore the lesser known parts of Lofoten. From the bridge, there are spectacular views of the fjord and the surrounding mountain landscape. If you’re travelling in the direction of Reine, you’ll find the Steffenakken car park in front of the bridge itself, where you can stop and enjoy the bridge on foot.
The bridge is just a few kilometres from the popular town of Reine and is even closer to the very famous Reinebringen viewpoint, making Djupfjordbrua an ideal place for a short stop or photo op during a tour of the Lofoten Islands.
