The Holedná lookout tower, located in Brno’s urban forest, is a relatively new attraction that opened in 2020. It is built on a hill in the Holedná Game Reserve, known for its wildlife such as fallow deer and mouflon. The tower’s structure, which is 35 metres high, is made up of a steel structure and wooden elements, creating a modern but natural feel. The climb to the top up 208 steps offers a magnificent panoramic view of Brno, its surroundings and the distant peaks of the Pálava.
Apart from the tower itself, we definitely recommend a walk through the surrounding forests, which are hilly here and there, but absolutely ideal for a walk. Just be aware that you need to keep your dog on a leash in the forest because of the wildlife present.

The best place to park is at the end of Březová Street, just before the no-entry sign, from where it is only a few hundred metres to the lookout tower.
