Låtefossen is one of the most famous and most visited waterfalls in Norway, located near the town of Odda in Vestland county. This monumental double waterfall is a true gem of Norwegian nature, where two rivers join into one massive waterfall that falls from a height of 165 metres directly under a road bridge.
Låtefossen is unique in its combination of strength, beauty and ease of access as it is right on the main road, allowing visitors to admire its beauty from close by. The bridge over the 1839 waterfall adds to the charm of the place and is often captured in photographs along with the wild water.
Parking is right at the falls and therefore the site is accessible to all vehicles and caravans.
The area around the waterfall is ideal for a picnic and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Låtefossen is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a trip to southwest Norway, and don’t miss out on the chance to experience this breathtaking natural wonder.
We’ll be happy to create a personalized itinerary.
There is a small kiosk in the car park at Låtefossen with souvenirs and the opportunity to buy a drink or a bite to eat.
