Place description

The Dobrá voda lookout tower rises directly above Horní Plana, a small village on the banks of the Lipno reservoir. Its position and height of more than 30 metres means that the lookout tower offers a beautiful view not only of the surrounding area, but also of the reservoir. Two floors of the lookout tower offer a 360-degree view of the surroundings, which is comparable to the nearby Lipno Treetop Trail. Here, however, admission is free.

The tower’s structure is metal and thanks to the drone footage we know that its red roof resembles a toadstool, although the original intention was for the structure to recall the glassmaking history of the area.

Several paths lead to the lookout tower, most of which start at the nearby Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. In addition to the church just mentioned, there is also a beautiful wild boar and deer preserve in the area – if you are lucky like us, you will see dozens of these beautiful animals. It is also easy to park at the game preserve.
