Mumlava Waterfall

Mumlava Waterfall is certainly one of the most famous waterfalls in the Czech Republic. It is located on the outskirts of Harrachov, in the Krkonoše National Park. As you can guess, the waterfall is located on the Mumlava River and is about 10 meters high. The granite bedrock creates dozens of shades of brown and in combination with the fast flowing water creates a beautiful spectacle.

Mumlava Waterfall is a frequent destination for many tourists, both in summer and winter. Especially during the summer holidays, it is busy not only on weekends, but also during the week. The place is also popular because of the opportunity to cool off in the water, which applies not only to people but also to four-legged pets. The best view of the waterfall is from the nearby footbridge over the river, but it is possible to walk all the way to the waterfall – but beware of the slippery rocks.

The easiest way to reach the waterfall is from the central car park around the former mine, walking about 1 kilometre through the forest. For strollers, there is the option of taking the road or the blue trail. The waterfall can only be reached from the other side of the river.
