Place description

In the Czech Republic, we could hardly find a more photogenic gasworks than the one in Hřensko. Today it is a historical building of a former gasworks, which was built among the rocks in 1905 for safety reasons. In 2004 it was converted into a guesthouse and restaurant. There are 4 rooms, including the possibility of accommodation in the gas tower.

The gasworks is nicely hidden in the centre of Hřensko, from where you can also go in the direction of Edmund’s gorge or Pravčická brána.

The restaurant inside the Old Gasworks is open all year round, the only difference is the opening hours, which are one hour longer in the summer months, until 22:00 (from 10:00). You can always find the latest information on the official website.

Parking

You can park in the smaller car park next to the gasworks, from where it is only a few steps to the building.
