Lake Olkkajärvi, whose name we don’t even try to pronounce, is just a few minutes by car from Rovaniemi, near the village of Apukka. Apukka Resort is what makes this place worth a visit, especially in winter. Not only does the lake completely freeze over for the winter and you can walk on it, you can also ride snowmobiles on it, which is what Apukka Resort offers.
