Piran

Piran, a town on the Slovenian Adriatic coast, is known for its rich history and location. Once part of the Republic of Venice, Piran has retained its Venetian charm – not for nothing will you feel like you’re in Italy. The narrow streets, historic buildings and city walls create an enchanting atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the world. The city’s landmark is Tartini Square, named after the famous violinist Giuseppe Tartini, whose statue stands here.

It is worth a visit not only the seaside, but also the Duomo di San Giorgio on a slight hill, where you can see the surrounding area and the sea itself. Iconic is also the lighthouse right on the tip of the city, which can be seen not only from the sea, but almost every corner of the city.
