Pravčická Brána (in English Pravčice Gate or Pravčická Gate) is probably the largest natural base in the Bohemian Switzerland. It is a rock formation, a gate, with a span of 26.5 metres and a height of the opening of 16 metres. The view at Pravčická Brána is great from below as well as from a higher viewpoint, which can only be accessed through the restaurant for a fee. Pravčická Brána can be reached by a hiking trail from Hřensko (about 6.5 km one way). The whole route, i.e. Hřensko – Pravčická brána – Mezní louka, will then go for about 13 km and besides the gate you will see many other rocks and views that are definitely worth it. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that in the summer months the surroundings are very busy.
The village of Hřensko, with the Old Gasworks or the Edmund’s Gorge, is definitely worth a visit in the vicinity of Pravčická Brána.

If you really want to enjoy Pravčická Brána to the fullest, you have to keep in mind that it is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 from April to October, and only on weekends from 10:00 to 16:00 in other months. For up-to-date information, please visit the their official website. Admission for adults is 95 CZK, for children and seniors 30 CZK.
You can park in the village of Hřensko, for example in the paid parking lot U vodopádu (150 CZK/day). Or you can park at Mezní louka parking lot, for the same price for the whole day.
