Rijksmuseum Amsterdam

The largest and most important museum in the Netherlands. At the same time a very beautiful building with a very interesting interior. Surrounded on one side by a park where hyacinths, daffodils and tulips bloom in spring.

There are more than 200 rooms with exhibitions of Dutch art and history. Worth mentioning is the large collection of works by 17th century painters, the most famous of which is certainly Rembrandt. His work The Night Watch is part of the collection. A truly fascinating painting. I hope you’ll give it your attention here.

Vincent Van Gogh, the Dutch painter who changed the view of traditional Impressionist painting, has a likeness here. His painting Wheatfield is part of the collection. For other paintings by this artist, you can head straight to the Van Gogh Museum, which is a short walk away. We will definitely visit it next time.

The Yves Saint Laurent exhibition, specifically the famous Mondrian Dress, is also worth mentioning. The inspiration for this dress came from the paintings of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, and the French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent translated it into a wearable form.

I dare say the best part of this museum is the Cuypers library, which is the largest and oldest art history library in the Netherlands. The atmosphere here is truly magical.
