The Rundetaarn or Rundetårn is a 17th century tower located in the centre of Copenhagen, Denmark, and is definitely not to be missed when visiting Copenhagen. Due to its location, it offers a beautiful view of the city. A distinctive feature of the tower is the so-called spiral ramp instead of a staircase.
There are several stories related to it, for example, that in 1716 the Russian Tsar Peter the Great rode up the tower on his horse or that in 1902 the first motorized vehicle, the Beaufort car, rode up the tower.
