Place description

Silsanden is one of the lesser known gems of the Lofoten Islands. The area is especially popular with locals, and therefore you won’t find a lot of tourists here. Access to the beach is not possible by car, but you can enjoy a pleasant and scenic walk through the area in just 15 minutes.

This small white sand beach is the ideal place for a quiet swim without crowds or for a relaxing afternoon by the sea. There are picnic tables and even a stylish bathhouse on site. If you have a dog, bring it along. He’ll love this walk and you may even meet other four-legged friends.

During your visit you can observe various species of birds and with a bit of luck you will also see seals, which come here from time to time to rest.
