Place description

Vogel is a popular ski and hiking resort located in the Triglav National Park, near Lake Bohinj. In winter, it offers great conditions for skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports with spectacular views of the Julian Alps. In summer, on the other hand, Vogel is an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking.

The cable car will take you from the lower station Ukanc to the top of Rjava Skala at 1,535 metres above sea level with an incredible 956 metres of elevation gain. Thanks to this “jump” you will enjoy the above-mentioned views, especially of Lake Bohinj and the surrounding peaks. The top station is a good starting point for various hikes, which can also be helped by other cable cars, mostly chairlifts.
