Výběh pro koně Převalského

Not far from the Ctirad hill, in Prague’s Dívčí hrady (Girl’s Castle), there is an enclosure for Przewalski’s horses in a beautiful place. This unique project, built on a nearly 20 hectare area on the edge of the Prokop Valley, was officially put “into operation” in the spring of 2021. It is a project of the Prague Zoo, which released the first 4 wild horses into the enclosure with a magnificent view of the whole of Prague in 2021.

The enclosure itself can be circumvented in a circle, in the front part near the Dívčí hradů there is a paved path, which then turns into a dirt road. The horses can be viewed either directly over the fence or from a total of 3 viewing platforms which are very accessible. There are also other places in the Prokop Valley area that you should not miss – for example, the viewpoint at Ctirad or the film pond, which, however, has been without water for the last few months.
