Cascata dos Anjos is known as the “free car wash” because you drive right under it. It’s a short walk from Ponta do Sol. The road is not the easiest, so drive carefully. When you’re planning whether to stop here, be sure to take into account whether it’s tourist season. If it is, you’ll need more time to stop because there are tourists taking photos at the waterfall, so you may be quite delayed. When we were there the waterfall was very gentle, I dare say we wouldn’t have needed to see it, but I believe when the flow of the waterfall is strong it’s a different story.
