Place description

Levada do Moinho is a relatively easy route that starts at the Lombada Church. Turn left after the church, you will see signs, follow them. Almost the entire route you will have beautiful views of the surrounding hills, sometimes even the ocean, at one part you will cross the road over a waterfall. The trail is narrow, we walked in mud in places, but it wasn’t too bad, depending on the weather. If you are less physically fit, we recommend turning around at the end and walking back the same way.

However, we have combined this levada with Levada Nova. The total route is about 8.3 km (depending on where you park your car) and it took us less than 2 and a half hours.
