Mirador Altos de Baracán

Mirador Altos de Baracán is a viewpoint located in the northwestern part of Tenerife, in the Buenavista del Norte area. It is located on the TF-436 road, which connects the villages of Las Portelas and Masca, and is at an altitude of approximately 800 metres.

This viewpoint offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including El Palmar Valley, Barranco de Los Carrizales Gorge and Montaña de El Palmar. Its location on a ridge allows visitors to experience the difference in climate between the northern and southern parts of the island; it is often the case that the sun shines on one side while the other may be foggy or drizzly.

Mirador Altos de Baracán is also the starting point for several hiking trails, for example towards Teno Alto or Punta de Teno. These routes are popular due to their length and elevation.

There is a car park and information boards at the viewpoint to provide visitors with further information about the surrounding landscape and routes. We definitely recommend taking memorable photos.
