Mirador de Ortuño

Mirador de Ortuño is a viewpoint located in the northern part of Tenerife, specifically in the area of La Victoria de Acentejo. It is located on the TF-24 road, known as the Carretera de la Esperanza, at approximately kilometre 19 of this iconic route leading to Teide National Park.

The viewpoint is located at an altitude of around 1,600 metres and is surrounded by a beautiful Canarian pine forest. Due to its position above cloud level, it often offers breathtaking views of the so-called “sea of clouds”, where the clouds spread out below you and create a unique scenery. Although we were rather lucky with the rather thick fog, the experience was still breathtaking. With good visibility it is possible to see the neighbouring island of La Palma in addition to Teide.

The viewpoint is easily accessible by car and offers parking spaces for visitors. It is the ideal place for a short stop during a trip to Teide National Park, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular views.
