The Passo di Falzarego mountain pass offers countless hiking trails, spectacular views and mountain huts where you can take a well-deserved break after all the sightseeing.
We walked it directly from the dedicated Passo Falzarego – Fouzargo car park and made our way through the photogenic mini-lake Lago di Limides from where we continued on to the mountain chalet of Rifugio Averau. Here you will find a restaurant surrounded by views, with accommodation and excellent cuisine, with the peak towering above Averau (2 738 m above sea level).
The path to the iconic rock formation Cinque Torri (2361 m above sea level) which consists of five steep towers. We were absolutely stunned by the surroundings. Mountain clearings with mountain peaks and dozens of paths for mountain enthusiasts, it’s a sight you’ll never get tired of. After enjoying one of these paths, we made our way towards the Rifugio Baita Bai de Dònes mountain hut, where we headed back to the car park via the meadow.
The trail is not quite suitable for strollers, but if you have a baby carrier, you’ll be fine. We met plenty of adventurous parents along the way.
