The ruins of the Belvedér summer palace and the chapel of St. John the Baptist are located on the top of a hill above the village of Vysoká, near the village of Suchdol u Kutná Hora. It is a ruin of a summer palace built between 1697 and 1698. Unfortunately, at the end of the 19th century, this Baroque chateau burned down and was never reconstructed. However, the massive perimeter walls have been preserved to this day and their combination with the surrounding nature creates a beautiful jewel.
Not far from the ruins there is also the Vysoká Lookout Tower, so if you go primarily to the lookout tower or the ruins of the summer castle, be sure not to forget the second stop. From the car park it is only about half a kilometre along a paved asphalt road, so it is an ideal walk even with a pram or on a bike.
We’ll be happy to create a personalized itinerary.
Free parking is available at the Rozhledna Vysoká parking lot.
