Place description

The Church of St. Barbara is probably the largest dominant feature of Kutná Hora in the Central Bohemia Region. It is a Gothic church, the construction of which began in 1388 and took almost 200 years. You can find the whole history very clearly written , for example, on Wikipedia. The temple is located near the historical centre, which can be walked through in less than an hour and is definitely worth a visit.

Opening hours and entrance fees

The opening hours of the temple vary depending on the season, but in general this gem of Kutná Hora is open all year round. You can always find up-to-date information on the official website. Admission for adults is 180 CZK, seniors and students can enter the temple for a reduced price of 140 CZK. Children up to 6 years of age can enter for free.

There is also a discounted ticket available, which in addition to St. Barbara’s Church also includes entry to Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist and the Church of All Saints (ossuary) in Sedlec.
