The highest mountain in the Czech Republic probably needs no introduction. That is why Sněžka should not be missing from our list of interesting places. The mountain, 1603 metres above sea level, is a frequent tourist destination – and no wonder. Sněžka offers great views of the entire Krkonoše Mountains (both Czech and Polish), is a challenging hike, and you can find many interesting places and trails in the surrounding area.
If you would like to see Sněžka without a hike, it is possible thanks to the cable car through Růžová hora – however, it is always recommended to check in advance whether the cable car is in operation. Sometimes it happens that it is out of service due to bad weather conditions.

There are several options for parking in Pec pod Sněžkou, we can recommend for example the one near Pecr Deep, from where it is only a short walk to the hiking trail leading through the Růžohorky. The parking costs from 100 CZK per day.
