Place description

An amazing viewpoint at the very edge of Lofoten overlooking the endless sea and surrounding rocks. Here you will find peace and an escape from the tourists, while understanding the true beauty of Lofoten. Don’t expect any benches or vantage points. The surrounding rocks serve as the vantage point itself, where you can walk around and take as many photos as you like. There are more viewpoints, so we recommend exploring the area a bit on your own.

This place is actually a short walk from Å and you can also start your journey/trek to the next viewpoint Ågvatnet.

If you have pets, feel free to bring them along. Also, don’t expect a steep climb and a challenging trail, you can certainly do it in ordinary sneakers.

This car park is for visitors to Å. Parking is more difficult in the surrounding area, so we recommend using this free car park. Please note that parking is limited to 6 hours. If you plan to sleep longer than 6 hours, overnight parking is not possible. Still, many RVs stay overnight after unloading from the overnight ferry. The car park offers plenty of space, but in high season this car park can also be full, so we recommend arriving early. Parking is for cars and motorhomes (as in almost all of Lofoten). It is a 5 minute walk to the town centre and no more than 10 minutes to the rocks with their spectacular views. There are public toilets, otherwise no other services.
