Zvíkov Castle is located above the Orlík water reservoir, at the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers. The construction of today’s state castle Zvíkov was started by Přemysl Otakar I. in the 13th century, and the owners later included the Rožmberks, Schwarzenbergs and others. The castle, which is located on a peninsula, offers not only a beautiful walk around the surroundings, but also tours of the interiors. There is also a ferry from the tip of the peninsula to Orlík in the sailing season.

The Zvíkov State Castle offers a basic, 45-minute tour for 120 CZK for adults, while children under 6 are free and under 18 for 80 CZK. Tours of the castle are available in the summer months, specifically from May to mid-October. However, we always recommend checking the current opening hours on the official website beforehand. However, the castle is worth a visit even without a tour of the interior.
You can park in the nearby car park at the end of the Zvíkovské podhradí for 60 CZK for the whole day.
