Place description

The original Gothic castle of Frýdlant from the 13th century, which was enlarged in the 16th and 17th centuries to include a chateau, towers over the town of the same name in northern Bohemia. There are several sightseeing tours on offer and the castle surroundings with a small castle park are also worth a visit.

Frýdlant Castle and Chateau is one of the most visited historical monuments in the Czech Republic.
